Universal Studios

Here we are at Universal Studios where as we're told movies are all about creating the illusion. Funniest fact we found out today was that when they wanted the male actors in westerns to look bigger and built they use to shoot them infront of smaller props like doorways and windows and for the woman it was they opposite so they would look small and petite. Sharon and I have decided we would need some pretty big doors by the end of this trip because the food portions in America are huge. I ordered some take out Chinesse the other day you know the usual fried rice, egg foo, sweet and sour and a vege dish each dish was enough for 2 large adults. We've decided to only get entrees from now on. We decided to drive to Universal as it was going to cost $30 US per person on the shuttle. Unfortunetly our budget didn't allow for another day on the Hummer so we just got a car. Anyway Universal was great theMummy Returns and Jurasic Park rides were the bomb. Ngahuia got a bit scared on the Mummy ride though. Surprisingly the high light for Sharon and I was the tour of the studio set. We got to drive down the actual set of Desperate House Wives' "Wisteria Lane". I was hoping to get a grope of Eva Langoria but unfortunatley they weren't shooting that day. Natasha we thought of you, not that your a desperate housewfe but you look a bit like "Eva" .We stayed right until closing and got to see all the lights of LA at night, once again blown away. We were hoping to go to Rodeo Drive but decided to get back to the Howard Johnson. On the way home we stopped in at a 7eleven (the local Dairy) to buy some breakfast cereal stuff and beers. That night we sat in the Spa at our hotel sipping brewskies and watching the Fireworks over Disneyland. What a life. The Americans have been saying its cold here but the Murus are still in their shorts.
