LION KING - LYCEUM THEATRE, COVENT GARDEN

Aaaaaah! yah fan ya.........or what ever the African sings at the beginning of the "Circle of Life".

Yes the Muru's, Granny Hillary and Auntie Elaine travelled to Covent Garden's Lyceum Theatre to watch the Lion King stage show. The costumes, sets and sound lived up to all expectations. Unfortunately you are not allowed to take photos of the performance for obvious reasons but Grant did get some special ones before and after. The whanau left Dunstable by taxi at 4.30pm to catch the Mooregate train to Kings Cross and then transfer to the underground's Piccadilly line to Covent Garden. Covent Garden was its usual busy hive of people in search of entertainment and action. After a quick dinner at a pleasant restaurant called Los Loco they all made their way to the theatre for a 7.30pm start. Their seats were in the Grand Circle giving them an omnipotent view of the stage. The costumes were amazing and the mechanics of the sets unbelievable. The show finished at 10.15pm and they arrived back at Hilton Ave at 12.30am so a long day and night but well worth it for another life time experience.
